When you configure a policy, the Timing tab includes two fields 'Publication Date' and 'Date Range'. They control different things.
Publication Date
Publication Date sets when a policy becomes visible to drivers in the app.
Use this when you're rolling out a new site, or a new policy.
You can finish all policy configuration in advance, then choose the exact date drivers will be able to start booking under that policy in the app.
Date Range
Date Range sets the first bookable day, and optionally the last.
This is the key difference: Publication Date controls when drivers see the policy. Date Range controls which days they can book.
Example
Publication Date: 1 March. Drivers can see and start booking from this date.
Date Range start date: 10 March. The earliest day drivers can actually book parking for is 10 March.
Setting a fixed date range
Use a fixed range for temporary policies, such as a short-term discounted rates.
Set the start date.
Set the end date.
Example: bookings are only allowed from 10 March to 31 March.
Setting a rolling date range
Most policies are rolling: they have a start date but no end date. Use this for standing changes, such as a price increase that applies from a certain date onward.
Set the start date (for example, 10 March, if a new price applies to bookings made from that date).
Click No End Date at the bottom.
Save your changes.
Once 'No End Date' is selected, the Date Range field will show 'From selected start date', confirming the policy is rolling with no end date.
