Check your own access first
Go to the IAM page (steps below). If you see the Create Account button, you have permission to grant or remove access. If you don't see it, your account can't manage users.
What the Accounts tab shows
The Accounts tab lists every user who has ever had Admin access, along with their role.
Role: A user with No role had Admin access in the past but no longer does.
Last Login: The last time each user logged in to the management portal.
Granting a new user access
On the dashboard, go to Admin and select 👤 IAM.
Open the Accounts tab.
Select Create Account.
Fill in the new user's details.
🔐 You must have the correct level of access to grant other team members access to the Dashboard.
Identifier = Users email address or staff ID depending on your company setup
Account Name = Users Name
Email Address = Users email address again
Phone number = This is optional
Role = Select the role the user should have
Role examples include:
Concierge (restricted access – can create and view bookings only)
Admin (full access – includes reporting and the ability to edit policies)
Roles are configured during onboarding. Most clients have two: one with full access and one with restricted access.
If you have the right level of access, you can manage roles by going to Admin > IAM > Roles:
View all existing roles for your company
Click a role to see or edit its level of access
Create new roles and assign them to users
Role configuration can be complex. If you are unsure, please raise a support request with our Client Success team for assistance.
If your organisation has SCIM configured, please raise a ticket with your internal IT team and ask them to update your Active Directory by adding the new user to the appropriate group that grants BaseUp Management Portal access.
Removing Admin Access
Removing Admin access stops a user from logging in to the management portal. The change takes effect as soon as you save it.
Steps
On the dashboard, go to Admin and select 👤 IAM.
Open the Accounts tab.
Search for the user's email address and select their account.
Change their role to No Role.
Select Save.
What happens to the account
The user stays in the Accounts tab with No role. This shows they had Admin access in the past but no longer do.
