Once you have created a system, you can add assets to it.
Assets are the individual components that make up a system. For example, within a PARCS lane system, assets might include an entry station, boom gate, intercom, or payment terminal.
Adding assets allows for more detailed tracking, maintenance scheduling, warranty management, and reporting.
How to Add an Asset
Follow these steps to add an asset to an existing system:
Step 1: Select “Add Assets”
Open the system and click the Add Assets button.
A pop-up window will appear, allowing you to configure the asset details.
Step 2: Select the Asset Type and Name the Asset
Choose the appropriate Asset Type from the list.
Then enter a clear and specific asset name.
Be descriptive to make identification easy.
Examples:
“Entry Station – Lane 1”
“Boom Gate Motor – Exit Lane”
“Camera 03 – Level 2”
Clear naming improves ticket accuracy and reporting clarity.
Step 3: Enter Asset Details (Optional)
You may enter additional information, including:
Install Date
End of Life Date
Version Number
Ownership Model
These fields support lifecycle tracking, planning, and asset management.
While optional, adding this information improves long-term reporting and forecasting.
Step 4: Enter Warranty Details (Optional)
You also have the option to record warranty information.
This may include:
Warranty provider
Warranty expiry date
Relevant warranty notes
Recording warranty details helps determine whether repairs or replacements are covered.
Step 5: Select “Create Asset”
Once all required fields are completed, click Create Asset.
The asset will now be linked to the system and available for:
Ticket logging
Maintenance scheduling
Reporting
Lifecycle tracking
