Asset Types define which assets can be added to systems.
They represent the generic technologies used within your garage, for example, boom gates, cameras, intercoms, payment terminals, or HVAC units.
Asset Types help standardise asset classification across the platform, improving reporting, filtering, and maintenance tracking.
What Is an Asset Type?
An Asset Type:
Defines the category of technology
Controls how assets are structured within systems
Supports consistent reporting and maintenance workflows
For example:
“Boom Gate” may be an asset type
“CCTV Camera” may be an asset type
“Ticket Dispenser” may be an asset type
Individual assets are created under these predefined types.
How to Create an Asset
