Are users allocated to a specific bay when they book?

This article explains whether drivers get assigned a specific bay when booking, how to check your site's configuration, and when "Any Bay" vs. numbered allocation makes sense.

That depends on how your site is set up.

Some clients choose to have bays configured with numbers. In that case, we assign drivers a specific bay at the time of booking.

How to check: Go to Management Portal > Assets > Spaces. If the bays are numbered (rather than labeled "Any Bay"), your site uses specific bay allocation.

When we recommend "Any Bay": This works best at sites where drivers are already used to parking in the first available bay and wouldn't easily switch to an assigned one. It's also a good fix for sites that had numbered bays but ran into people parking in each other's spaces, since removing the assignment removes that friction.

Note: "Any Bay" only works if the site has no reserved bays that other drivers can't park in. If some bays need to stay reserved, you'll need numbered allocation instead.

Why bay allocation isn't in the booking confirmation email: Bay allocation can change after a booking is made, for example if an admin moves it. We leave it out of the email to avoid showing outdated information.

Where drivers can see their bay: In the app, on the Access Screen or in the Manage tab.
