The BaseUp Management Portal
This gives you access to view what’s happening without walking the car park. To access it:
Log in at app.baseup.com.au
Use the support widget and type what you’re trying to do (for example “find a user”, “block a bay”, “see who’s in the car park today”) and you’ll get an immediate, step-by-step answer on how to do it in the portal.
Carpark Operations FAQs
1. How do I run a car park audit for today?
Use the operations section of the portal to view a virtual audit of recent car park activity:
Live View: See all bookings and access events for today, and check who is on site now and which bays are in use.
View Incidents: Review space taken reports and other incidents.
User Search: Search by rego/plate to identify a driver and see which tenant they belong to and their contact details.
2. A Key Tenant Contact asks me about a parking question – what should I do?
After BaseUp is implemented, tenants can self-manage many of the parking requests they previously raised with the FM. The first step is to work out what type of question it is.
a) Parking configuration or access
These changes are managed by the key tenant contact, not the FM:
Examples: “Can you please provide a new staff member access to BaseUp and/or to parking?”
You can let the key tenant contact know they can make these changes by logging in to their own BaseUp Management Portal, where they can manage users, access and rules, and find help articles.
If they prefer, they can raise a support ticket in the portal or by emailing [email protected].
b) Bay, signage, or leasing
These inquiries are managed by building management:
Examples: ‘What is the cost to lease more bays? ’, ‘I would like to update the marking of my bays. ’
If tenants ask BaseUp directly about these topics, they will be instructed to contact building management.
c) Equipment fault
There are two types of equipment to consider:
For BaseUp hardware, follow the hardware support workflow shared during implementation to restart or reset it.
For base building equipment, such as boom gates, roller doors or non-BaseUp controllers, follow your standard repair process, arrange for it to be fixed, and notify tenants as you normally would.
3. Who helps drivers at the gate?
Key Tenant Contacts are set up to self-manage their employees (drivers) who have access issues, using their own BaseUp Management Portal.
Access issues with BaseUp are rare, so this type of request should not be common. Drivers should first contact their Key Tenant Contact (for example, workplace or office manager).
If they cannot reach their Key Tenant Contact, or it is after hours and an emergency, they may contact the FM as a last resort.
To troubleshoot and assist the driver with access issues, the FM should:
Log in to the BaseUp Management Portal
Go to Operations > Live View
Check the driver has a valid booking
Open the gate for the driver
In the unlikely event the emergency is linked to equipment not working (either BaseUp hardware or building equipment such as a roller door or boom gate, or there has been an accident in the car park), follow your usual after-hours emergency process.
