What is the Overview page?
The Overview page gives you a summary of your parking activity for today and the current week. It helps you quickly understand how your car park is performing, spot any issues, and monitor day-to-day usage.
On this page, you can see:
How many drivers had access to the car park today
How many drivers accessed the car park today
Whether there were any access issues
Whether there were any space taken issues
Where do I find it?
The Overview page is available from the top of your Live View tab.
Note: Live View is still your main landing page when you log in. The Overview page loads separately and can take a few seconds to appear, since it pulls in data across today and the current week.
How often does the data update?
The Overview page refreshes every 5 minutes. This means the numbers you see reflect activity as of the last refresh, not the exact moment you're viewing the page. If you need real-time updates, use Live View.
What do the different sections show?
Each reporting plot on the page has an info icon (ⓘ) next to its title. Click it for a short explanation of what that specific chart or number is reporting on.
Here's a general guide:
Top summary numbers: These show totals for today, including bookings, empty bays, used bookings, and drivers who needed assistance. Each number also shows how it compares to the previous day.
Access Events Health: This shows the percentage of Bluetooth access events compared to all access events at your site, giving you a quick sense of whether access is working smoothly.
Casual Parking: This shows how many bays were booked versus empty, broken down by day, for the current week.
Allocated Parking: If you have allocated bays, this shows how many you have and how many were used, broken down by day, for the current week.
Operations: This shows gate activity, including how many times the gate was opened remotely (through Live View or a booking) and how many times drivers reported their space as taken, broken down by day, for the current week.
Why did BaseUp build this?
We built the Overview page to give you a clear, at-a-glance view of how your car park is operating, without needing to build or request a custom report. It's especially useful if you want a quick daily or weekly check on performance without digging through Live View.
