Custom Comms is available to Enterprise Tenant clients. It is not available to Precinct Landlord clients, and it is directly tied to the domains owned by an organisation.
Custom Comms lets clients add their own announcements and instructions to the messages BaseUp sends drivers. This article covers the three places clients can customise: booking confirmation emails, the in-app booking confirmation screen, and in-app notifications.
Booking confirmation emails
Booking confirmation emails are sent automatically to every driver when they make a booking.
The email always includes:
Building name
Reservation date(s) and time(s)
Tax invoice (for paid bookings only)
A link to BaseUp's refund policy
Road rules and phone use
A link to BaseUp's help centre and support details
Clients can add a custom announcement or block of text, which appears below the building information.
What to include: car parking intranet links, client-specific terms and conditions, carpark map links, and general parking information.
Disclaimer:
The booking confirmation email does not support attachments.
Visitor booking confirmation and booking cancellation emails cannot be edited.
In-app booking confirmation screen
The in-app booking confirmation screen is shown to drivers at the time of their booking.
The screen always includes:
Building name
Building photo
Allocated bay details
Booking price
Reservation date(s) and time(s)
Registration details
Clients can add a custom announcement, which appears below the building photo.
What to include: car parking intranet links, client-specific terms and conditions, carpark map links, and general parking information.
In-app notifications
In-app notifications are sent to drivers based on schedules that admins configure in the management portal.
Clients can send custom notifications to support:
Incident response. For example, notifying drivers about a closed floor or a faulty boom gate.
Booking reminders. For example, reminding drivers of an upcoming booking.
Infringement notifications. For example, notifying a driver they have broken a carpark rule, and that further breaches could lead to access being removed.
Car park operations changes. For example, notifying drivers that passback will be enabled from a certain date, and how that affects their access.
Disclaimer: if a driver has disabled notifications in their app settings, they will not receive them.
