How to Configure Maintenance Schedule Timing

When creating a maintenance schedule, you must configure the dates and frequency to define when work will occur.

Proper schedule timing ensures maintenance cycles are generated at the correct intervals.

Set the Start and End Dates

Start Date
Select the Start Date to determine when the maintenance schedule will begin.

This is the date from which the system will calculate future maintenance cycles.

End Date (Optional)
If the schedule should stop after a certain period, enter an End Date.

If the maintenance is ongoing, leave the End Date blank.
Leaving it blank creates a continuous schedule.

Choose the Frequency

Select how often maintenance should happen.

For example:

  • Monthly

  • Quarterly

  • Annually

The selected frequency determines how often maintenance cycles are generated.

Configuring an Annual Schedule

For annual schedules:

  1. Select the required Month.

  2. Choose the Timing Type (for example, a specific day of the month).

  3. Enter the Day of Month when the work should be completed.

Example:

  • Month: March

  • Timing Type: Specific day of month

  • Day of Month: 15

This would generate a maintenance cycle each year on 15 March.

Review the Schedule Preview

Before saving, review the Schedule Preview.

The preview shows how the system will generate upcoming maintenance cycles based on your configuration.

Always confirm:

  • Dates are correct

  • Frequency aligns with expectations

  • The first upcoming cycle appears as intended

If the preview does not match expectations, adjust the settings before saving.
