Running a Maintenance Cycle

Once a maintenance schedule has been created, the schedule must be run to generate the first set of maintenance tickets.

Running the schedule triggers the system to create tickets for the assets and tasks defined in the schedule.

How to Run a Maintenance Schedule

After creating the schedule:

  1. Open the maintenance schedule.

  2. Click Run Schedule Now.

This action generates the tickets for the first maintenance cycle.

The schedule will then follow the configured timing and frequency going forward.

What Happens When a Schedule Is Run

When you run a maintenance schedule, the system automatically creates tickets based on the schedule configuration.

Tickets are generated according to:

  • The defined frequency

  • The configured due dates

  • The selected assets

  • The assigned checklists

Each generated ticket represents a maintenance task that must be completed for the cycle.

How Maintenance Tickets Are Generated

The system uses the schedule settings to determine when tickets should be created.

This includes:

  • The schedule start date

  • Frequency settings (for example monthly or annually)

  • The due date configured in the schedule

Tickets are generated automatically in alignment with these settings, ensuring maintenance tasks are scheduled consistently.
